Just Because She's Cute

The Aftermath of Spending the Night With Aunt Jess

Sunny spent the night with Aunt Jess last week and she had a wonderful time. She tried on high heels, painted nails, wore make-up, and watched Beyonce on DVD. Apparantly she had so much fun that she didn't want to come home.
Actually, she was okay when I picked her up, but when we got about a block from our house I looked in the mirror and saw that she was slumped over in her carseat. When I asked what was wrong she completely broke down sobbing. She said she just wanted Aunt Jess, she missed her too much and needed to go back. It was sweet and kinda cute at first, but this crying fit lasted about an hour. I took this picture as she was curled up in a ball on my bed. She's already talking about when she is going back to Aunt Jess. She is the best Aunt ever and we are so glad to have her in our family.

The New Hair Style

I guess this isn't the best picture of the hair, but we got some gel (courtesy of Aunt Jess) and this is the awesome result. He loves it. (I have to admit I really like it too)

Preschool Graduation

What a big boy. I can't believe I have a 5 year old who is going to start kindergarten in August. He had a great year in preschool this year with Miss Melva. He also decided he wanted a mohawk for graduation -- too bad we didn't have any gel.

Sprinkler Time

It was so nice yesterday that the kids and I decided to get out the pool and sprinkler. Unfortunately we couldn't find our pool. Luckily we have great neighbors so we went and borrowed one.

Sunny loves her new bathing suit.

It's all good when he sprays her, but let me tell you, he was not happy when the tables were turned.

2 Months

Bathing suit Baby Lila turned 2 months old on the 14th.
9 pounds 14 ozs
23 inches
She is our itty-bitty baby. It is so funny to me how small she is. She is the size Jackson was at 2 months and he was born quite a bit earlier than here and a pound and a half smaller. She did great at her check-up. She had 5 shots and 1 oral vaccine. The doctor doubled her dose of prevacid and put her on hypo-allergenic formula. Hopefully we'll get her reflux under control soon. She is already doing better and is a much happier baby.

Bumbo

Mok got Lila a bumbo seat when she was here for the wedding. Lila is getting stronger every day and is really starting to enjoy it.

Then and Now

Lila fought bath time for about a week, but I knew I'd win her over eventually.
She now loves bath time. It's one of her favorite things to do, which is good b/c I'm a fanatic about having a clean baby.

We still bathe her on the countertop most of the time, but she also loves to take a bath with me. She also got in with Jackson tonight. He loved it, and so did she.

Coming out of the Salt Lake Temple

We love Jess and are so happy that she is finally Aunt Jess.

Sunny Bunny

We have no pictures of Jax in his tux. Thanks Uncle B.J. for teaching him to cover his face!

Our family at the reception.

Uncle B.J. And His Little Alien

Uncle B.J. has been calling Lila, "Little Alien". I'm sure he means it in the nicest sense of the word. These are probably the only pictures we'll have of Lila and B.J. b/c he lives so far away, and isn't much of a baby holder. I thought they were pretty sweet.

Yes, she does look quite like a little alien!

Lila's Baby Blessing

This has been such a big week for us. The day after the wedding we had Lila's blessing. It was so great to be able to have all our family there for Lila.
Ryan's mother made Lila's dress out of my wedding dress. She made Sunny a temple dress when we were sealed out of it, and we had just enough left for Lila. It was gorgeous.

Best Friends

My Aunt Cathy brought her granddaugher Hayden out here for the wedding (She's my cousins little girl). Sunny and Hayden are a couple of weeks apart in age, and we had been so excited for them to meet. They were instant best friends. They dressed alike almost the entire time they were together, and they really looked like twins.
Waiting for Josh and Jess to come out of the Temple.
Still waiting.

Taking pictures like the brides.

Look at my dress Hayden. Have you worn yours??

Posing in their barbie nightgowns.

They also have really cute matching Hannah Montana shirts, but I didn't get a picture of that. They were just so dang cute together. Sunny is really missing Hayden. She is already talking about how she wants to get on the airplane to go to Hayden's house.

p.s. Hayden, you left your green ring here. Don't worry, Sunny will take care of it and bring it back to you soon.

p.p.s Sunny is LOVING the gold sandals. They are all she will wear. (Thanks again).

We love You Hayden!!

Uncle B.J.

Uncle B.J. was here this past week for Josh and Jess's wedding. Jackson has been waiting for this visit for so long. He loves his Uncle B.J. so much and has really been missing him since last August when B.J. moved back to Florida.
I have never seen Jax so happy. I don't think he spoke to me or Ryan all week. We didn't even have to watch him or take care of him. He was B.J.'s shadow. They slept in the same room together and went everywhere together. We can't wait to see him again.

Not for my baby

This just seems a little scary. No disrespect to India and the culture, but maybe they should do away with this.
