Repetition

Yesterday I got Cameron dressed and set him down to play. Then I grabbed the camera because I wanted to take a picture of his outfit. I love this outfit. It was given to Jackson in November of 2003 by Aunt Cathy (do I have an awesome memory or what) and is now being worn by the 3rd little Blair boy.

Then as I started taking pictures I realized that I was taking almost the exact same pictures that I blogged about the other day. Basically, I know that my blog is totally repetitious, but my blog is all about my babies and as any mother knows, babies pretty much do the same thing every day.

The best part is, even though I see and do the same things every day, I love it. I never get tired of taking the same pictures, playing the same games, and spending time with my kids.
(Not to say we don't have bad days, because we definitely do. The good days far outweigh the bad though)

So, this scene with Cameron playing toys repeats itself probably 5-6 times a day. It always starts out with him playing happily.

And then this sometimes happens.

(Video of what this sounds like at the bottom. I couldn't get it to go right here where I want it)

And then I pick him up, but he is super mad and will not be comforted.

Finally I realize he doesn't want to be held, but wants to be sat back up with his toy again.

All is well that ends well.

(Video of this part at the very end)

He didn't even hit his head very hard, but he was super mad. I got a little nervous when I noticed he was screaming so hard that he was turning blue around the lips.

Happy as can be after I helped him sit back up. This boy knows what he wants.

My Little Boys

Cameron has just recently started taking an interest in toys. And by interest, I mean he loves them and cries if you take them away (I'll show you that in a minute)

He is also getting to be an awesome sitter. At about 4 1/2 months old, he can sit for 20-30 minutes at a time without being propped up. (Though he still does his fair share of tipping over and face planting on the carpet.)

He loves that he can sit up all by himself and he loves this piano.

(I personally love the string of drool coming from his mouth. Notice how soaked his shirt is? I changed him about 5 minutes before I took these pictures. This kid is a drool monster.)

Griffin is so sweet to his brother. I love that fact that I have my two little guys so close in age. These were all taken last week, but just for reference, Griffin is almost 2 1/2 years old and Cameron was about 4 1/2 months old here.

It's nice to have a big brother to show you the ropes and teach you all the things you need to know.

Cameron got this toy for Christmas, but Griffin has claimed it as his own. They both loved it and spent about 20 minutes like this.

This is what happens when you take the toys away.

I just love his sad/mad face. It is too funny.

My Girls

Sweetest girls ever...really...I am one lucky Mom.

Doing a ballerina move. She has been obsessed with ballet since December when we went to the Nutcracker. Her first ballet class starts next month.

Birdie Game

Yep, that's my little G. Asleep with a headband covering his eyes and his precious "birdie game" poster. Someone probably should have told him not to rip it to shreds at nap time the next day. He was pretty sad about that. Silly kid.

Blue Eyes

Lila and I had fun taking pictures and video today while Griffin was asleep. She and Cameron (and Sunny) have the most beautiful blue eyes.

Don't his eyes look just like his big sister's? I think they are going to stay blue. Jackson's and Griffin's had both already changed to a dark hazel-ish color by 4 months.

It seems weird to me that I have so many blonde and blue-eyed children. Even Griffin, who has the darkest coloring of my kids isn't that dark.

(I do know that one day Sunny will have dark hair like mine. She has been begging to dye it dark for years. She is just waiting for the day that I say yes, which is totally not happening until she is a teenager.)

He's So Cute When He's Asleep

I post all kinds of funny/bad things Griffin does on the blog, so I thought I'd give him a little positive publicity.

G-man is doing great with sleeping in his big boy bed. He is back to taking 2 hour naps everyday (except on days Ryan is home, I can't get him to nap at all then) and goes to bed so easily at night.

Good job little G.

Let It Snow

Snowball fight!!

Cameron was there. Well, sort of :)

She loves to eat snow. Just like her big sister used to.

Okay, so apparently they all like to eat snow.

Griffin loves to play outside. I have never seen him so happy. He ate, threw, jumped, and rolled in the snow. He was completely soaked when he came it.

The snowflakes were really big...perfect for eating.

Sunny is always the first one to make a snow angel.

Once There Was a Snowman

Sunny and Jack were trying to build a snowman today. Griffin was trying to destroy it.

They decided for Jack to try to build it and Sunny would stand guard against Griffin.

Griffin loves a good wrestling match. He didn't even care that Sunny kept throwing him to the ground and sitting on him. And in the end...he still destroyed their snowman.
*No small children were harmed in the process of taking this picture*

I was getting ready for church on Sunday when I heard a huge crash downstairs. I waited for someone to cry, but no one did, so I continued with what I was doing. I came downstairs a bit later and found this. (And yes, my first thought was to take a picture)

Of course, Griffin is the culprit. He was fine and the tv was fine, so we were able to laugh about it. Leave it to him to take the destruction of my house to a new level. I'm almost afraid to ask...what's next?

I Hope

...that they always love each other as much as they do right now.

Haircut for Griffin

I've been growing Griffin's hair out for a really long time. I can't remember when I cut it last...last summer maybe? It was pretty cute, but it was getting to be really high maintenance. I literally had to do it 5 or 6 times a day to keep it looking nice. Otherwise it was a huge mess.

He called this is "Maci" hairstyle. We have a neighbor (named Maci obviously) and she wears her hair in a little ponytail a lot. Noticing girls already!?!?

I decided today was the day to chop it. I hated to do it. Really I did, but I knew it needed to be done. I bathed him this morning and fixed his hair so cute, and 2 hours later it was a mess again. I was done.

Griffin was devastated. He kept rubbing his head and saying, "No, my hair is gone...no...no."

And a few after shots. He wouldn't hold still for many pictures. He wanted to go play with Cameron.

The classic smile.

I love this one. He kept holding his chin up really high and I told him to move it down. He grabbed his neck and looked like he was choking.

I also think he looks very much like Jackson in this picture.

And, for your entertainment, I interviewed Griffin about his new hair cut. He basically couldn't be bothered to talk to me because he wanted to go play so badly, but he did answer a few questions.

Who Wants to Eat

Cameron does! This kid is all about food. He really cannot get enough.

He loves: avocado, applesauce, & banana

He tolerates: green beans

He hates: sweet potato (although he is getting better about eating it. I just have to mix a little applesauce with it)

Tonight for dinner he actually ate a whole avocado and cried for more when it was done.

I generally don't feed my kids solids until much later, but Cameron has proven more than ready. He was drinking a ton of formula everyday, so I thought I'd try a bit of food to see if that helped him feel fuller. I think it worked... kind of. He drinks a little less formula, but this kid can eat like a 2 year old.

Eating makes him so happy. He starts kicking his feet as soon as I put him in the high chair. He opens his mouth up faster than I can shovel in the food.
