One crazy night!

A brief update of what happened in the early morning hours. Sarah started having contractions about 12:00 am. After about an hour of fairly consistent contractions we felt we should probably head to the hospital. While driving through American Fork, Sarah begins to have stronger and stronger contractions and starts to tell me she doesn't know if she can make it. I press the gas pedal and tell her to hold on we will get there quick. Luckily, the local police didn't try to pull me over cause I wouldn't have stopped. What's wrong with going 50+ in a 25 right? Well we made it to the hospital. I told her to hold on I will run in the ER and get some help. She tells me just to hurry, cause baby is coming quick. Well of course there is no one around so I just grab a wheelchair and head back out thinking I can get her out of the car and wheel her in myself. As I come outside I hear her yelling in pain and telling me her water broke. We can still make it inside though right? Wrong, Sarah tells me Griffin is already on his way! I don't want to deliver this baby myself. I ask some random lady outside to please get me some help now! She kinda gives me a dirty look, but goes inside. 2 minutes later baby Griffin was born. Nurses, ER doctors and many others came out right on time to deliver the baby in the front seat of our minivan! What a night! A surreal event to see. The hospital staff is calling him "the parking lot baby". The camera was sitting in the front console so I was even lucky enough to get a few pics. We will post them later. Sarah was awesome the whole time. She stayed very calm considering the circumstances. The end.

The End is Near

I am so sick of being pregnant at this point. Everything hurts and I am miserable. I scrubbed my whole floor on my hands and knees yesterday hoping it would get my stupid contractions to be more regular, but all I got was a terrible back-ache. So, here is the update. I'm 37 weeks tomorrow so he can come anytime. Last week at my 36 week check-up I was already dilated to a 3 and 80% , so I'm hopeful he will come soon. If not, I'll be induced on the 11th. If I go that far it will be the longest I've ever been pregnant, but I really want him to come on his own, so I want to give him plenty of time (that would be 39 weeks and 3 days). I just get so antsy at this point b/c Jax was already born and Lila was born at 36/37 weeks too. Plus, I have contractions all day every day and I'm so sick of it. Okay, enough complaining. Griffin's healthy, and I'm doing as good as I ever have with a pregnancy so even though it doesn't sound like it, I am definitely grateful for that.
Just some random pictures from the last couple days. I have an exercise ball that I sit on just about every night. In hopes that it will help my rib/back pain (does it really???? I'm not thinking so). Anyway, I came downstairs and found Lila bouncing on her little ball. She loves it.

The funniest part is watching her try to back onto it and watching it roll away. She gets really frustrated.
Lila loving on her big sister.

Ryan got me a Dyson when we moved into our house. It is the one thing I have always wanted. I'm so into vacuuming it's not even funny (it's freakish really!). I love it and so does Catey girl. Basically, she loves to help her Daddy do anything.

These are for you Mok!

...and anyone else who is interested. I thought I'd start with a rare picture of me and Lila, just for fun.

The front. Don't know what else to add about this one.

Our front porch. Ryan made that flower bed thing last week. It had really ugly bushes and no border so we ripped it out, built the planter and filled it with bark. Next year I think we'll plant something, but it is too hot to start trying to grow things this time of year.

Another view of our front porch. Nancy got us this patio set that will eventually go in the backyard. For now we are using the front more so we can get to know our neighbors better.
I love having a front porch, I have always wanted one. Somehow it reminds me of the South.

The living room, taken from the landing of the stairs.

Another view of the living room.

Kitchen/Dining room.

More of the same. Past the fridge is a little hallway that leads to the laundry room, the half-bath, and the garage. The double doors are the pantry, and next to that is the door to the basement.

Looking to the family room from the kitchen. I love how it is all open. Such a difference from my last house.

Family room. Usually it has toys covering the floor, but I had the kids throw them out of the way for the pictures.

The loft at the top of the stairs. Since Jax and Griff will share a room we thought this would be a good place to feed and rock him in the middle of the night without disturbing Jax. Eventually I think I will make it a desk/study area for the kids when they are older.

The boys room.

After I took this picture the batteries died on the camera, so this is all for now. I'll take the rest and post them later. I know there are a million, but oh well. Hope you liked them.

35 Weeks

Didn't Sunny do a great job taking my picture? She tried several times and this is the best one. I'm okay with it, you don't need to see my face anyway!

Well, I've made it to 35 weeks and a few days and even though overall I'm feeling pretty good, I'm getting to the point where I am just DONE!! I always start getting antsy at this point because Jax was born at 35 weeks and 6 days, so I know it could be soon (probably not though). Things have been going well, so far my blood pressure is good (first time ever), and also this is my first pregnancy that I haven't been on bed rest, which I am really grateful for.

I had an ultrasound last week and it looks like Griffin is doing well. He is just a little guy at
5 pounds 5 ounces (for comparison, I think Lila measured that around 33 weeks or so). He also has hair. It didn't look too long, but it is thick. Hopefully I'll get a dark haired baby that looks like me :)

p.s. House pictures coming soon Mok!

She Loves the Pool Now

It was so hot the other day I decided to try the pool again. She LOVED it. She was splashing and playing and having a great time.

It was hard to take pictures b/c it was so bright outside I couldn't see what I was taking a pictures of. I think I either caught the beginning or end of a big smile in this one.

A real smile from Jackson. YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thinking about getting in.

Her first Popsicle.

4th of July BBQ

Our street has a huge 4th of July BBQ every year. We had only been here 4 days, and were super nervous to go, but I knew we had to if we wanted to get to know anyone. It started out at 5 with the water slide and then we ate dinner at 6. Our neighbor had smoked some kind of delicious pork all day and then everyone else brought a side. We set up several big tent things in the street for shade and ate while the kids kept playing. After dinner we did games and crafts for the kids. The kids loved the water balloon toss best. We started fireworks at 9 and didn't come inside to bed until close to 11. It was a long night!!!

I have to say, I HATE being the new people, but I really think we have some great neighbors. Everyone has come over to introduce themselves, and the whole BBQ wasn't nearly as awkward as I had expected it to be. In fact, I think I actually enjoyed myself.

It also really helped the kids get to know all the other kids on the street. The next day when we went to church they kept pointing out all their new "friends" they had made the night before. Both Jax and Sunny went to their new Primary without crying (huge deal) and really enjoyed themselves. Well, enough writing, here are some pictures.

Standing in line for the water games. They had to pass a cup of water with a hole in it over their heads and try to fill up a bucket.

The kids made a craft project. You can't really tell from this picture, but it is a cute firework.

Our next door neighbors set up their big water slide and the kids loved it!

Sunny was so brave. Who would've thought she would go down the big slide all by herself!

Next door live 3 little girls and they let Sunny ride their Barbie 4wheeler. She loved it, but almost mowed down a whole bunch of kids on the sidewalk. I think we need to work on her driving skills.

The 4th of July

I had the kids all dressed up and thought I'd get some pictures on my new front porch. Just like last Easter, Lila wouldn't cooperate. This first picture of her and Ryan is actually the last one I took. She wouldn't sit or smile, and as soon as we let her up she started smiling. I swear she does it just to aggravate me.

What would my posts be without all the outtakes. The older kids tried so hard and Lila was so bad it was laughable.

The best one!

We're Here

We are all moved into our new house and loving it. Tons of work the last few days, but well worth it. We don't have our Internet set up yet so we are stealing somebody's wireless (which isn't working very well), so we haven't been able to use the computer much. As soon as we get it set up I'll post some pictures of the new place. The kids are doing well, Jax has taken the move the hardest, but is already making new friends. His favorite is our new next door neighbor who is also six. I miss our old neighborhood and friends, but this seems like a very friendly street. We've been able to meet several of our new neighbors and they seem great. Hopefully it won't be too long before we are on the computer again, I miss it (and t.v. which won't be hooked up until Tuesday!!!)
