Summer Nights

I love warm summer nights.  The kids and I sit on the porch while Ryan mows and sometimes we turn the sprinklers on and just run and play until the sun goes down.

Nothing better than hanging out with my family!

Day of 47 Float Preview

So basically, I have really cool friends, who know about lots of really cool things to do and they usually take us with them :)

This was the Days of 47 Float preiew at the expo center.  There were like 30 floats and many had little booths set up next to them with crafts, candy, games, and prizes for the kids.

Sunny, Lila, and Griffin enjoyed posing in the cut outs for the University of Utah float.  Jack refused.  He would not be seen supporting the Utes!

We love our friends and neighbors the Pitcher family. They are so much fun and we have had a great summer together.  I still have to post all of the pictures from our trip to St. George with them.

Ahh yes...the BYU float.  This was Jackson's favorite, of course!

More Fun Stuff

First time on a ferris wheel for my kids.  Lila and Griffin loved it.

I didn't think Sunny was going to ride it, she usually hates heights, but she did!  She discovered that she loved it.

Cam got to look at all the fish while we waited for the big kids.

Before we went to Scheels to ride the ferris wheel we went to check out Mom's new school.  It was a really nice place and we had fun taking a tour.  The kids especially liked the lockers.

Farm Country

We went down to Farm Country with Mom and Dad this morning.  It is the first time we have been this year and the first time that Cam is old enough to know what is going on.  He had a ball.

First time on a horse.  He did great!

Now she is ready for kindergarten

Mary Poppins

Back in the first week of July the girls and I took a trip with my Mom to see Aunt Jess in Cedar City and go to Tuachan and watch Mary Poppins.

We stopped and ate a picnic lunch about half way there.

The girls brought their dolls, Kit and Julie, with them.

When we got there, Aunt Jess did manicures.  The girls were in Heaven!

Tuachan has a beautiful outdoor theater and does fabulous productions.  We loved Mary Poppins.  The only downside was the extreme heat. When the show ended at 11:45, it was still 97 degrees outside.  We felt like we were melting!

Also, notice that Sunny has perfect the "duck face"

We spent the night with Josh and Jess, and the next morning when Henry woke up, he got to snuggle with his Sunny Bunny.

Lila loved spending time with Henry.  He is such a cute kid.

22 Months

My sweet baby boy is now 22 months.  He wants nothing to do with being a baby. No more booster seat at the table, or stroller for walks.  He can keep up with the big kids all day long. He does whatever they do and he never stops. He did great on vacation.  He is a really fun kid, but has developed quite the attitude lately.  He wants what he wants and when Mom or Dad won't help him out, he heads straight for big sister Sunny.

He loves Taylor Swift (wonder why:) and loves to dance.  He had a great time hiking in Zion National Park and he is a huge fan of parks and splash pads and water slides.

We are having so much fun this summer and it is nice that Cam is big enough to join in and have fun too.

Tracy Aviary and a Splash Pad

Several weeks ago we went to Tracy Aviary with a couple of our friends.  Between the three Moms, we had 13 children with us.  I think it is so great that my kids have such great friends.

All the kids except Cam.  He wouldn't stay in the pictures, so I took the one of him of the rocks...to prove he was there of course.

Waiting for the bird show.

Cam really loved this cut out thing.  It is usually hard to get him to smile for pictures, but he was totally into it.

Sunny and Makayla. Cam would not move.  I think he is in all the pictures.

Right next to the aviary is a really neat splash pad.  We don't go often because it is all the way up in downtown Salt Lake.  We ate our picnic lunches and headed over only to find out it was closed for cleaning.  We were a little disappointed, but came up with plan b.  We found this random park and splash pad and went there instead.  It turned out the kids really liked it.
