Moments Like This

I love moments like this!

I was busy getting everyone ready for church on Sunday while Ryan was gone at a meeting. I came downstairs to find these two adorable kids watching a movie together. As soon as G noticed I was taking pictures, he turned around and grinned.

Big and Little

My biggest and my littlest.

Jackson sure is a wonderful big brother!

Matching

I don't really have any matching clothes for Jackson and Cameron. This is the lone outfit. These are Easter shirts from two years ago that belonged to Jackson and Griffin. Luckily Jackson's still fit when I got the urge to dress them up.

Cameron was having a rare moment of unhappiness and I just had to document it.

He did manage to give me one little smile.

Play Time

Cameron loves to play. He could sit on a blanket all day and chew on toys. Unfortunately, in our house, sitting on a blanket in the middle of the floor is not usually a good idea. Remember, we have our own personal steamroller, I mean Griffin, running around. Can you even imagine how bad he could hurt Cameron if he ran and stepped/jumped on him?

So we generally save the blanket time for when Griffin is asleep.

This is what we've come up with instead. We call it basket time.

Basically, Cam gets to sit in a laundry basket full of toys. That way, when Griffin bulldozes into a room he doesn't get hurt.

I think he likes it. He also really likes when the kids push him around the room in the basket. I'm not a huge fan of that because the kids seem to think Cameron is much bigger/older than he is and they can get pretty wild. So far, so good!

Cinderella

These pictures got all out of order. Oh well, I'm too lazy to fix them.

The top picture is supposed to be the last one, as that is the finished product.

I am one lucky person to have my own personal Cinderella.
My little Sunny loves to clean and organize. She usually pretends she is the housekeeper at a hotel. That girl is amazing.
Working hard cleaning underneath the table.

The little kids had stuck stickers on the ground and she had to peel them up.
She also cleaned the table and chairs.

What would I do without my Sunny Girl?

(Probably have a very messy house :)

Jackson has been studying Indians at school for the last several weeks and to say he has loved it would be an understatement. One day he brought home this teepee he made. He was so proud of it and we displayed it at home over the weekend.

Then I asked him what we were going to do with it. It's kind of big and fragile and just couldn't hang around forever. It doesn't exactly match my decor! I suggested we take a picture of it so he could remember it and then we would recycle it.

I think the pictures sum up how he felt about my idea. Nevertheless, we took the pictures and bye-bye went the teepee.

It was pretty cute.

New Table

I have spent 30 minutes of my life trying to figure out how to blog about our new table. Mom asked me to blog it so she could see it, but I thought that would be super boring.

(Like way more boring than 37 pictures of Cameron playing his piano :)

So, it might be boring, but here it is. We bought our last table when Lila was Cameron's age. At the time we thought it would fit our family for a really long time. It had room for 6 and we thought that even if we had one more baby that would be plenty. Well, not so much.

Once Griffin was born it got really tight, but we made it work. Now that Cameron is here and eating, we just didn't fit at all anymore. I would make meals and have the kids eat at the table, and Ryan and I would sit on the couch. Not cool. I really value family dinner time and this just wasn't cutting it.

So I began scouring KSL (classifieds for those not in Utah) to find just what I wanted. Our kitchen is a weird shape, so a bigger rectangle table wouldn't fit. It had to be a big square and it had to have 8 chairs without padded seats (because you know how gross those get). It took a couple months, but I finally found what I wanted.

We love it! It is so nice to be able to eat together...and we even have one extra spot. Though the kids say that is B.J.'s spot. I think we all agree that the lazy susan is our favorite feature. It reminds me of dinner time in Dothan visiting my grandparents.

Funny Faces!

In other food related news, Cameron has decided he'd like to try feeding himself. Not my favorite idea, but I let him do it long enough to take a picture.

Good-bye to our old "little" table. You have been replaced!

Just More of Cam

He never gets tired of playing this piano...seriously

My current favorite picture of Cameron. I love the big blue eyes, the dimples, and the elf ears. He is now 5 1/2 months old!

Happy little guy.

You can get a little glimpse of his hair here. It is still pretty thin, but it is long. This kid is sporting a pretty nice mohawk!

He is just such a happy kid. I think having had kids that didn't have such a nice temperament has made me really appreciative of this.

Of course Griffin always has to get in on the action.

"Duh" face.

Randoms

Just some random pictures from the past couple weeks.

Deja Vu

I feel like I've seen this scene before...

Yep, I have. Back in 2007 with 4 year old Jack and 3 year old Sunny.

Blue and Gold Banquet

Jackson had the Blue and Gold Scouting last week. Unfortunately, he was sick and wasn't able to go. One of the parts of the banquet was for the fathers and sons to bake and decorate a cake without the help of Mom. The theme was "Leap into Scouting."

So, even though he was sick, Jackson and Ryan went ahead and made a cake.
It's a frog (if you couldn't tell).

Hanging out with Henry

Henry came to stay with us on Saturday night while his parents went to dinner and a movie.

He did a lot of smiling.

Not much sleeping.

He played with his cousin.

Yep, Cam's naked. He was fresh out of the bath.

He liked the swing.
Bad thing being it didn't have batteries. Good thing being I have lots of little kids to push it by hand. Free labor.

He also did some crying, but I was kind enough not to take a picture of that.

We had a fun time with Little "Hun-Wee". He is such a cute little baby. You would think it wouldn't be big deal to my kids to have another baby around. I mean, they have one of their own. But, nope...it is super special when Henry comes over and they love spending time with him.

Valentine

I know it's not Valentine's Day yet, but I just couldn't wait to share these.
I found this idea on Pinterest and my brother and his wife made them for me. I think they turned out so cute.

Thanks Uncle Joshy and Aunt Jess.

Big Boy

The kids and I brought this play table out of the basement the other day to see if Cameron could stand and play.

I think he liked the idea.

These are all blurry because I was trying to take pictures and keep a hand on Cam in case he fell (which he did...but only once...my bad).

I was surprised at how well he could stand up and play. He lasted about 10 minutes before he tipped over.

Look, no hands and puke.

Top that Henry!

He was really interested in the toys.

Especially this little spinner thing. Sunny kept making it spin over and over while Cameron look mesmerized by it.
