BYU Planetarium

Today we headed down to the BYU campus with some friends to go to a show at the planetarium.  It was really neat and all of the kids except Lila loved it.  She thought it was a little scary.

We had fun walking around campus and taking random pictures.

After the show we stopped by the Museum of Art to check out a new exhibit they have.  It is a collection of costumes used in movies and it was really neat.  Then we headed over to the BYU Creamery to get some yummy ice cream cones.

Bunnies

Sunny and Lila are lucky enough to have a set of sisters the exact same ages as them that live about a block away.  They are great friends and have spent much of the summer together.  Their friends own two cute bunnies and one day they brought them over to play.

The bunnies had cute pink leashes and the girls got to "walk" them all over the yard.

Pony Tail

Remember that one time when I gave Cameron a pony tail?  Yeah, that didn't go so well.

4th of July

Neighborhood fireworks.

Glow sticks.

Garage band (that is Ryan on the drums)

We had our traditional neighborhood 4th of July party this year.  I hear it was fun.  I wasn't feeling well and spent most of the night in the house.  I came out for fireworks and to snap a few pictures.

Mowing

Jack and Sunny have been pitching in and mowing the lawn a lot this summer.
Jack does really well, Sunny is not great and it is really hard for her to push, but she tries.

Lila likes to ride the scooter while the kids work.

The Little Mermaid

Mom and I took the girls down to St. George to see The Little Mermaid at Tuachan.  We had a whirlwind two day trip.  We swam in the pool at our hotel and had a blast even though it was a little chilly.

Sunny loved baby Georgie.  She has a thing for babies...wonder where she gets it from :)

Lila had a good time playing with Henry.

Sunny practiced her swimming.  That is her underwater with the pink bathing suit.

The weather was gorgeous.  We couldn't have picked a better day.  Last year, after the play was over at 11:30 at night, the temperature was still over 100 degrees. This year it stayed in the low 90's with a breeze and it felt amazing.

Aunt Jess painted nail of course.

We had great seats.  When we bought our tickets, we debated sitting on the front row and decided not to because the show uses a lot of water and we didn't want to get wet.  We also though we might have a little better view from the 7th row.  I think we were right and our seats were perfect.

Look who sat 3 rows in front of us.  Mitt Romney and his wife Ann.  They drew a lot of attention and had crowds of people around trying to take their pictures.  It was quite annoying.  Good thing I had the perfect seat to be able to discreetly snap a picture of my own.

The Little Mermaid was fantastic and we can't wait to go back next year.  We are debating between The Sound of Music (Me, Sunny, Mom) and Beauty and the Beast (Lila and Jess)

Jazz Open Scrimmage

I have lots of catching up to do on the blog.  So, here comes lots of posts that are all out of order.  Sometime in July, we went up to Salt Lake to watch the Utah Jazz have an open scrimmage with some of their new players.

It was pretty fun, but we didn't end up staying very long because they kids (aside from Jackson and Griffin) were really bored.  I would venture to say that Sunny hated it.

Posing with a statue. It is either Stockton or Malone.  I can't tell which from the picture.

Cameron and I took lots of selfies since he was pretty bored.

On the way home, we got stuck on the freeway when it was shutdown due to a huge fire.  Eventually they opened up one exit and we were all herded off and we made our way home the back way.

Girls Camp 2014

I just got back from Girls Camp up in Idaho.  It was an awesome and HARD week.  I have lots of pictures and lots of stories, but this will have to do for now.

My poor legs.  Both sides looked like this and this is actually only a small portion about 6 days after I got the bruises. I'll share the story later.  It's a good one.
