Pictures of Cameron

These are from my ultrasound 2 weeks ago. I have 28 pictures from that day, and I thought about posting them all. They are all super cute and adorable of course. But, then I decided maybe more is less in this case, and so I chose my favorite three.

The first is his little face in 3D.

The second is also his face, but he has an arm and fist blocking it. Griffin loves this one. He says Cam is playing peek-a-boo.

This one is just funny. In case you can't tell. On the far left is his little belly and then his legs extend to the right. This is when we were trying to check if he really was a boy. As you can see, he has a little hand down there grabbing his "boy parts". I have several pictures of this because he just would not let go.

Eventually he did move his hand and we got the money shot to prove he is all boy!

20 Weeks

Actually, almost 21 weeks, but who's counting :) The top picture is 20 weeks with Griffin. The two green are today with Cameron.

I looked back at my blog and Cameron is only 1 oz bigger than Griffin was at this stage. Wonder why the belly is so much bigger this time? Oh well. It's still pretty small, but I'll take it.

I had my ultrasound this morning and it was fabulous. Cameron looked absolutely perfect. The ultrasound tech at my office is so much fun. I guess she didn't have an appointment right after me, so we spent tons of time just looking at Cam and playing around with him. She sent me home with a DVD and 28 pictures.

He is weighing in at 1 pound already! We got to see him smiling and sticking out his tongue at us. The funniest part was when she tried to check and make sure he was still a boy. He was holding his boy parts and wouldn't let them go. We shook him, poked him, moved him around, and he wouldn't let go. The pictures from that part are so funny. When I get my scanner hooked back up, I'll post them.

We also got a couple of really good 3D ones of his face. He is absolutely adorable.

After the ultrasound I had my appointment with my doctor. That didn't go quite as well. My blood pressure is high...ALREADY. The first time they checked it was 149/99, and the second time it was 135/88. Dr. Watabe was a little concerned and wanted me to come back in 2 weeks instead of 4. Luckily I talked him into letting me go 4 weeks, and I promised to call if I was getting headaches, or feeling like it was high. I was so hoping I would be lucky and escape this stupid blood pressure stuff. Griffin was the only pregnancy that I haven't had a problem with it, and it was so much nicer not having to worry about it and not having to be sent over to the hospital for monitoring all the time.

But, high blood pressure aside, things look wonderful, and I couldn't be happier.

Rad Kids

The last few weeks, Jackson has been involved in a program at school called Rad Kids. It is taught by a police officer and a few other people. Jack doesn't tell me much about what he does at school, so that is all I knew until I got a letter that today parents could come watch the kids do a little obstacle course kinda thing and use all the moves they learned during the program.

Don't quote me on this, but these are the three rules of Rad Kids:

1. No one has the right to hurt you.
2. You don't have the right to hurt anyone else, but you can defend yourself and make people stop hurting you.
3. Tell an Adult

At this station, the kids had to use their fighting skills like elbowing, eye poking, and yelling at the dummy.

This lady was hitting the kids with these foam things and the kids had to block her and then run away.

All the kids with Deputy Mulder...dressed as the "bad guy"

So, this is the best part of the blog. Make sure you watch the video. After the two first stations, the kids were instructed to run to their teacher, who was sitting across the gym. Standing between them and her was Deputy Mulder dressed up in sparring gear pretending to be the bad guy. The instructions were very clear. Run to your teacher. If he got you, you had to use your moves to fight him off.

When I first got to the school this morning, they were running late and I got to sit in and hear the staff talk about how they were going to run things and what the kids were supposed to do, and how 2nd graders usually react. The deputy told the rest of the team, "Most of the kids will run right to me and try to fight me off. I have found that only the really smart ones get it right and actually try to run away." (which is the first step they are taught and what they are encouraged to do)

So, without further ado (or bragging :) check out Jackson. He was one of only 2 or 3 in the whole class who actually tried to get away. It was pretty funny.

The Boys

More from this morning before school.

The Girls

Just some random pictures I took of the kids before school today. The girls were loving their matching curly hair. It was also pajama day...AGAIN! I think that makes the 14th time this year :)
