Happy Fathers Day

I meant to do this yesterday, but never got around to it (Sorry Ryan). Anyway, the kids and I just wanted to say Happy Fathers Day to Ryan. He is the best dad around. I really wanted pictures of Ryan and all the kids as babies, but I didn't have any on the computer. Jackson is about a year old here.

Right before Sunny was born.

Six months.

One year old Birthday. (Sorry Ryan, I know you will hate that picture, but Sunny looks adorable.)

Catey-Belle, 1 day old.

Jackson: My favorite thing about my Daddy is that he plays nintendo basketball with me. I love him because he loves me.

Sunny: My favorite thing to do with my Daddy is coloring. I love him because he hugs me up.

Band Camp Anyone??

Jess, we were feeling a little bad that Josh is gone all the time, so we thought we would help you feel better this week. Anytime you start to miss him, you can just check out our blog and this awesome picture (hahahaha).Seriously though, he is going to be so mad. We were at my Mom's grabbing some stuff and Ryan stumbled across this picture. I think he is 12 or 13, but you'll have to ask him.
Sorry Uncle Joshy (But not really)

Our Catey-Belle

I decided to try and take some half-decent pics of little Lila, and I've come to the realization that I'm a terrible photographer. I couldn't get the lighting right, and they kept looking blurry and I can't figure out why. So, here's what I got. (Jessie, I'm so jealous of all your beautiful pictures. I still want you to take some of our family one of these days.)

It Hurts To Be Beautiful

I've been doing Sunny's hair since she was 6 weeks old. Back then it was a teeny-tiny pony tail on top of her head with a baby bow. By the time she was 10 months old it was two pig tails, curled, with two bows. Now getting her hair done consists of washing, blow drying, flat ironing, curling, numerous styles that involve lots of pulling and twisting, and of course, the ever larger bow. My mom can't believe that she lets me do all of this without crying.
I told her the secret is this, since before Sunny could talk I would tell her, "It hurts to be beautiful!" Obviously it sunk in really well. If she starts to complain I just ask her, "What do we say about getting our hair done?" And she always answers back, "It hurts to be beautiful." Usually followed by "I want to be beautiful, do it good."
Fresh out of the shower with tangly hair.

Next we comb it out.

I'm the one who blow drys it, but she wanted to pretend for the picture.

The final result.

Showing off the new bow we made. (Lila has a matching one). Sunny picked out the flowers and the diamonds for the middle. We made them together last night and she loves them.

I Heart Power Rangers and My Daddy

Daddy and His Girls

The other night I found Ryan reading to Sunny and Lila. I realized it was the first time we had ever read to Lila and decided to get some pictures.

Since you can't tell from the other pictures, this is how much Lila liked it! She was totally into looking at the pages, and as always, she loved the attention. She is such a good sweet baby (which is totally opposite from her first 8 weeks or so). We are so in love with her sweet smile!
