Mechanic in the Making

Our old white car has been sitting in our driveway since about March. It needed a new battery, spark plugs, and alternator, and has been dead the whole time. We haven't worried about it b/c Ryan has been driving the scooter, but with our move being only a few days away we needed to get it fixed.

Ryan is becoming quite handy at car maintenance these days.

Battery = check (that one is actually super easy and he has been doing our batteries for years).

Spark Plugs = check
Alternator = a work in progress (although he has done one before, just not on this car)

Lila was quite fascinated by the whole process. She loved digging in his tool box and handing him different wrenches and other various things. She made quite the mess of it all.

Sweet Girls

Mok and Aunt Cathy came to visit this past week. Mom has all the pictures with them, so I'll post them when I get the chance. Needless to say, we had a great week and the kids were in Heaven. Sunny got this beautiful new princess outfit and she loves it.

Lila got a new baby doll and I don't think she has put it down during the last three days. It goes in the car with us, to swimming lessons with us, and to bed with her. She loves babies (which I'm hoping is a good thing)

Look Uncle B.J.

Bugga is Jax's star shooter.

(They are playing Mario Galaxy, and you can use the extra remote and point it at the screen to collect stars. Lila doesn't really know what she's doing, but she knows it is fun. I love how she points it at the screen and waves it around just like the big kids.)

Baseball

This is all I've got. Haven't taken my camera to a game yet. Don't worry, Dad did get some pictures for me. Jax is thrilled that he and Kadin are on the same team (not so thrilled to have his picture taken.)

He is doing great. Ethan, from across the street, has worked really hard with him all spring and it shows. My favorite is "Load, Step, Explode." It has really helped with his hitting, which he is great at anyway. His fielding is really improving too. This last game he was playing by the pitcher and Kadin was first base and they actually got several kids out together (not that they actually count outs at this age, but I was still proud).

He has this week off, and then plays twice a week until the end of the month. He is excited for his next game and loves his new cleats, mitt, and hat that Bear got him.

Now she taped a Pleasant Grove Rec Center schedule to the bag and came downstairs and told me we need to paint her nails a pretty hot-pinkish color for the blind children. Then she says she taped that on so the blind children's mothers would know they need to sign their blind kids up for kindergarten. Huh?

It's Official...

Sunny is strange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She has been coming in the house for the last 5 minutes bringing me roses she is picking off our bushes. She just came and took them away and put them in a brown bag. Then she took the bag outside to collect more. Why you might ask?

"These are for the blind children at Primary Children's. You know, blind, like when your eyes don't work. Now they can look at these pretty flowers"

So, I'm not sure if she really knows what blind means or not. It's kinda sweet, but a little strange I have to admit. She has been talking a lot about being blind lately. I'm not sure where it is coming from though. I'll let you know when I figure it out.
