Confession Part 2

Okay, it's not just sheets!

I can't leave dirty laundry laying around. If I don't do at least 3 loads a day I feel behind. I love having a spotless laundry room and clean clothes all folded in drawers. To me the house doesn't feel clean with dirty laundry in baskets sitting in people's rooms. Call me crazy!!

I always have lots of laundry to do, just because we are a family of 6. I also have all the cloth diaper laundry, and we use cloths (sp?) in the kitchen instead of paper towels. Basically I can always find something to wash

I'm a freak, I know.

p.s. I only let people use towels once before I wash them. Well, occasionally twice, if they are hung up immediately. Told you I'm a freak!

2 Month Check-Up

I took Mr. Griff to see Dr. Wilcox today for his 2 month appointment (he's actually 2 1/2 months now though). When they put him on the scale I was amazed, he weighs more than Lila did at 4 months and just a bit less than she did at 6 months. Here are his stats:

12 lbs 6 oz -- 50th %
22 1/2 inches -- 20th%
15 inch head -- 7th%

In conclusion he is a short fat butterball with a pin head :) (Don't worry, all my kids heads have been that size. That's how I pop them out so easily!)

Dr. Wilcox also thinks Griff has pretty bad reflux. He doesn't spit up at all, so I never suspected it, but the Dr. noticed right away that Griffin smelled like acid very strongly. Then when I mentioned he was a very cranky baby, he told me that babies who don't spit up often have the worst reflux of all. I had been wondering why Griffin smelled so bad all them time and couldn't figure it out, so this makes sense. He is on meds for it now, so hopefully he'll cheer up a little bit.

This afternoon we are on to the Audiologists office to have his hearing re-tested. He failed in one ear when he was in the hospital, but we are hoping he'll pass this time. They said they like to test the babies at 48 hours old and Griffin wasn't even 24 hours old when they did it since we left the hospital early. Apparently they can have fluid in their ears that can affect the test. So, should be fun.

We love our little Griffers!

UPDATE: He can hear!! He passed the test. Now I can check that off my list.

Jack-Jack

Lila calls Jackson --Jack-Jack--. It is so cute and we have all adopted the nickname for him.

Anyway, Jax had his first SEP with his first grade teacher last night. I always hope and expect to get fabulous news, and this conference was no different. He is ahead on everything academically and he is fabulously behaved. She actually said that she has to stop herself sometimes because she is always saying, "Look at Jackson, follow his example and -- pay attention, raise your hand, follow in line, etc." We are so blessed to have such a great kid. Way to go Jack-Jack.

Lila

Lila had her 18 month check up last week. She did pretty well, considering she hates strangers. She is doing great and is very healthy (actually my only healthy child right now. hope she stays that way).

She is

22 1/2 pounds
33 inches

She has gone from the 5th% in weight to the 30th%, and from the 30th% in height to the 90th%. We are thrilled that she is growing so well. It turns out her milk allergy was actually pretty bad so she didn't grow as well as she should have her first year. Now that she is on Soy milk and real food she has taken off. Plus it doesn't hurt that she is a super eater.

Lila is obsessed with baby dolls. She takes care of them and sleeps with them. Usually she is dragging around at least two. It is very cute.

Lila with her real life baby doll Griffin.

He was really happy and smiling, but I couldn't catch the two of them smiling at the same time.

Mr. Man

Confession

I love Fridays!!!

Not for any of the reasons you might think though.

Here is the scary truth...

I love Fridays because it is the day I wash all the sheets, blankets, pillowcases, comforters, and anything else linen closet related. It is freakish the amount of joy I get from doing this. I have to stop myself from washing them before Friday, and it is so hard (I'll admit, sometimes they get done twice a week because I can't stop myself).

That is all.

p.s. Family pictures, Lila's 18 month check-up, and Jax's SEP (teacher conference) news coming soon.

Uncle B.J.'s Visit Part 3

B.J. sleeping with his cutest baby nephew Griffy.

and another

and more

and one more ('cause look how cute his little arm is)

It was so nice to have B.J. come. The kids love him so much and he is so awesome with them. I'll have to admit it was nice to be able to leave Lila and Griff home in with B.J. while I ran to take the kids to school and pick them up. He is so much fun and we can't wait until he comes again!

Uncle B.J.'s Visit Part 2

B.J. and Josh found a huge Tupperware full of all their legos from when they were kids. They gave them to Jax and built a big lego city in the basement.

Funny Face.

She cannot get enough of him. She was always in his lap and hugging him.

Lila was just getting used to B.J. being here everyday and then the visit was over.

Awhh, Dwriffin.
