St. George -- Part 2

This is the first Hotel visit for the kids. They thought it was great. Here they are all ready for bed. They were excited b/c they got to stay up late on vacation. Yep, 7:30p.m! I think I have them trained well.

Watching a cartoon before bed.

Lila tends to smile before or after I take the pictures, just not during the pictures. I assure you see was very happy, albeit a little (or a lot) sleepy.

My cuties!

Griffin was all smiles for the whole trip.

I love the mouthful of Goldfish. But, at least she's smiling at the camera this time.

In the parking lot.

St. George -- Part 1

Vacation here we come!!!

I have about a million pictures from our vacation and I'm going to post most of them. Hopefully I can keep this somewhat organized. So, on that note:

This is us on the way down. I didn't know how the kids would do in the car since we have never been on vacation. Well, now we know the answer. They did great!!! This is especially awesome b/c as you may or may not know, I am 500000% against DVD players, or Nintendo DS's, or anything else electronic related, in the car. I seriously hate them (unless we were going cross-country, and then I might think about it). Anyway, we sang lots of songs, told lots of jokes, and learned all about maps and road signs. And, we may or may not have bribed them with Oreos from time to time :)

When we first got there we ate lunch and went shopping at the outlet mall (no pictures of that), and then we went to check out all the historic sites.

This is Brigham Young's winter house. A lovely sister Missionary gave a tour to us and the kids. She was great and the kids really enjoyed it (as did I).

Jackson found this Indian statue and thought it was historic. Don't tell him it was actually just a decoration outside a turquoise and silver shop.

And of course the Temple. This is taken from my window as we drove by. They were getting the Christmas decorations ready.

Blair Family Pictures

A few weeks ago we took pictures with Ryan's family at a park in Provo Canyon. Troy always does such a great job.I think the colors are so beautiful. It has been about 2 years since the last pictures and we have added 4 babies to the family.

I love how our family picture turned out, and would especially like to thank Jackson for crying and having a super red and super sad face. Someone always has to make it difficult I guess :)

All of us. Nancy is in the green sweater. Then there are 5 siblings, 5 spouses, and 15 grandchildren ranging from almost 18 down to baby Griffin, who was 2 1/2 months at the time.

Just the grand kids.

His Video Debut

Could He Be Any Cuter???

Since Lila graduated to the booster seat a few weeks ago, the highchair has been taken over by Griffin. He doesn't eat of course, he just sits and smiles and loves to be a part of family dinner.

I just love to see his smile. I have a video that I'm going to try putting on here next. Blogger has been giving me a hard time lately, so we'll see if it works or not!

Big Girl

This will be two posts in one. First of all, I never put pictures of the girls room on the blog, so here they are! We got the girls these new dressers this week. They had my old white furniture that Mok and Pok got me years ago. It still looked good, but was starting to fall apart after all the times we've moved it. I didn't want to move Lila into this room until we had new furniture that I knew was safe and wouldn't tip over on her. Yes, it is very white. Basically I haven't done anything to this room. Same bedding as the old house and there is an ugly pink border around the top that I don't feel like taking down right now. Someday this room will get decorated, but not today :)

Part two of this post is that Lila is now sleeping in her big girl bed and doing great. About 2 months ago I tried to get her out of the crib but it was a big failure. Now in the span of about two weeks she has

1. Given up her bop (pacifier) that she was majorly attached to (and acted like it was no big deal. Ask her the story, she'll tell you.)

2. Given up her high chair in favor of a booster seat.

3. Given up the crib. She is so proud of being in Sunny's room and in a big bed like sister. It's amazing how fast they change and grow. I can't believe my little Lila is growing up so fast.

Now everyone is in their proper bedroom and I couldn't be more thrilled with Lila!

Down

This would be the flight of stairs that Sunny fell all the way down yesterday. I was up in my room building the dressers, and she was going down to help Ryan with Griffin. I guess she just missed the first step. All I heard was a scream and thump, thump, thump, as she rolled all the way down. Thankfully she wasn't hurt except for a little bump on her nose. Scary. I knew someone would fall at some point, I was betting on it being Lila though. I'm just glad it wasn't down the unfinished basement stairs.
