The Bike

Thanks so much for the new bike Mok and Pok. It was a hit. She hopped on and started riding right away, and was so proud of herself. Today she rode all the way to the park and back and she is ready to do it again tomorrow.

I love watching a kid ride a bike for the first time. I can feel the sense of freedom and exhilaration they feel. It is such a fun milestone.

The Party

Officially 4 years old!
Getting ready to blow out her candles.

Her favorite present this year... a new bike! She was thrilled.

We left Cameron on the floor in the middle of the pile of toys and new presents while we cleaned up. Pretty sure he enjoyed himself.

New Barbie from Aunt Jess, Uncle Joshy, and cousin Henry Benny.

One of her two packs of Squinkes.

Her hopping bunny.

Sneak Peek

We are having a little family party for Lila tonight before her real 4th birthday tomorrow. Here is a little sneak peek for you.

(She had her first party at Nana Blair's on Sunday and it was a blast. She got such cute gifts from Nana and she loved the chocolate cake and ice cream)

Someone has a birthday coming up tomorrow. Whatever could be in that pretty bag? No way is it that little white bunny that hops around and makes eating noises :)

The birthday girl herself.

She loves her cupcakes. They have pink strawberry frosting and silver sparkles.

I thought about cleaning her up, fixing her hair, and putting some clean clothes on her. Instead, I dragged her in from the backyard and then let her go play some more. Even if I would have fixed her hair you wouldn't be able to tell. I have yet to tame her curly/frizzy/weird hair.

Ryan and I don't usually do very much for birthdays. Sometimes we don't even do a cake...gasp! I know, that's bad. So, this year will now and forever be known as, "The Year of The Birthday Parties."

My first attempt at cute cupcakes. I borrowed this adorable cupcake tier thing from my neighbor (don't you love it). and tried my hand at some fancyish decorating. It was semi-successful. I say semi because I bought whipped frosting, which is too soft to hold its shape. I tried to thicken it, but it didn't seem to help much. Also, I don't have a frosting tip, so I just used a Ziploc with the corner cut off and I don't think it looks very nice.

I say successful, because the birthday girl is in LOVE with these cupcakes. She is so proud of them and can't wait to show everyone. As long as she is happy, I'm am happy.

We have glitter stars, a princess table cloth, streamers, a banner, and balloons. All a little girl could ask for.

I think it turned out pretty cute. Now if the rest of this day could fly by. My poor little kids are going nuts with anticipation. The are ready to party.

(And the best secret of all...she is getting a new big girl bike from Mok and Pok. She is going to be thrilled. I can't wait to see her sweet little face.)

Little Boys

These are from last week. I don't think Cameron appreciated it very much, but Henry didn't seem to mind.

Oh the fun these boys are going to have!

6 Months Old

Guess who is already 6 months old? Yep, my sweet little Cameron. He is still so much fun and such a blessing to our family. As you will see from the following 97 pictures, Cameron has had a big week.

That's right folks, he started crawling last week.
(At 5 months and 3 weeks old...for record keeping purposes only...of course I'm not bragging :)

He's not very good yet, but there is definitely forward progress, even though he always ends up face planting into the carpet. I'm going to guess that he will have it all figured out in a week or so.

What would a picture of Cameron be without a string of drool. No teeth yet, but I think they might be close.

Somebody was tired and in need of a nap.

Cute even when he's mad.

I love when he sucks on his lower lip.

Look at all those curls. They remind me of Uncle B.J.

He loves the idea of crawling. He is probably thinking about heading toward the stairs. Don't you love that phase?!?! I don't!

Me and My little elf.

You have to appreciate a good naked baby pic.

More of his big blue eyes.

That big sweet smile never gets old.

I'll have to post his newest stats after he goes for he check-up next week. I would guess tall and scrawny. Other than crawling he is not doing much of anything new. Still loves to eat. He ate lentils from our lentil tacos one night and seemed to really enjoy them. He must get his love of onion and garlic from me :) His other current favorite food is mango. He is sleeping a bit better lately, but is not the all star sleeper he once was.

I can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings.

He's Not A Fan

Cameron is not a huge fan of being worn. I keep trying thinking that I'll change his mind, but it is really not happening. He liked the Moby wrap when he was really little, but even that didn't last very long.

A smile, but only because I dangled the camera in his face.

I sure hope he changes his mind. I have always been a huge fan of baby wearing. I have so many different carries/slings/wraps it is ridiculous. This kid just prefers a stroller though.
