4th of July

We have a great neighborhood BBQ for the 4th of July every year.  It is super fun and we all love it.

I have too many pictures to try to caption them all, but they are all of the kids playing different games that we did for them.

 Water balloon pinata.

Standing in a pool with freezing ice water.

Pearl diving (grabbing marbles with your toes.)

Ryan and Justin went head to head.  Pretty sure no one won and the pool ended up being dumped out because they were so crazy.

I did it too.  I came in second place...I'll do better next year.

Ryan and I...about to celebrate our 10th anniversary.  That's Logan waving down there...he thought he was pretty funny :)

Bridal Veil Falls

Last week Ryan and I took the kids up Provo Canyon to Bridal Veil Falls.  There is a short little hike/walk up to the falls and you can walk in the freezing water at the bottom.  There is also a hike that goes up pretty high, but we didn't do it with all the kids there.  I think we will take Jack and Sunny back by themselves so they can do it.

It was a beautiful day, and the freezing water felt fabulous.

After we played, we had a picnic.  This is how Cameron felt about the situation :)  He just wanted to go, go, go.

The kids found some fun rocks to play on and started posing and asking me to take pictures.  I thought it was pretty funny.

Pretty sure she got this pose from Dance Moms. If you've never seen it, you should.  It is terribly, wonderfully, awful, and quite honestly, it is my favorite show on t.v.  Obviously, Sunny likes it too.

And then Ryan decided to try planking again.  Yep, on the picnic table.  It was awesome.

Summer Dance

Sunny started summer dance this week and we had to document it.  She is super excited to be taking a ballet/jazz/tumbling class this time.

There are tons of dance pictures and lots of stuff that I want to blog about Sunny and dance, but I just haven't found the time.  Eventually I will, but a quick summary would be that I am tremendously proud of my little Sunny girl.  She has overcome some huge fears when it comes to dance, and classes, and trying new things.

It turns out that she is very talented at dance and she really loves it and so she decided to push through her fears/anxieties so she can do what she loves.  I really could not be more proud of her.

Stretching on the first day of class.

Stitches

The title says it all.  Griffin has become my first child to get stitches, and it was my fault.  I opened a door and he was on the other side and I hit him in the eye.  He was great about the whole thing and surprisingly he didn't cry at all.  He thought the whole situation was pretty cool and he loved all the attention.

We go back next week to have the three stitches removed and I hope it goes as well and the first time.

4th of July 2012

Nana Blair made the girls these adorable skirts for the 4th of July this year.  The girls wore them to church on Sunday, so I decided it was a good time to try to get another "nice" picture of the kids.

They had other ideas...

Thanks for the cooperation kids...NOT!

10 Month Old Cameron

Last month was a big one for little Cameron...he started walking!  He still prefers crawling, but he can cross our family room by himself.  He must know that crawling is way quicker at this point, but I expect that will change during the coming weeks.

He is still adorable as always.  He has been such a sweet little guy since day one, and I am so completely in love with his personality.  He gets funnier by the day!

His favorite word is "Dada," which is great because that means Ryan has to go upstairs to get him in the mornings and most other times.   It is just too hard to resist.  He also says "baba" for bottle, and "Uh, Uh, Uh," in a mad voice when he means no, or when he is done eating.
  Very cute.
Seriously...he is a cutie!
