The Learning Club 2012-2013

Her last day of preschool for the year!

Lila and I went on a special shopping trip yesterday to pick out the perfect dress.  We had a great time and she tried on tons of clothes.

My beautiful girl in her new graduation dress!

With her Daddy.

Sitting in her chair before we started.

Miss Melody called each child up and said a few things about them.  She talked about what a sweet child Lila is in class and how she is a good example to all the other kids.

She also told everyone how Lila likes to bring her gifts to class.  Usually these are random drawings, cut up magazines, weeds, just whatever special treasure Lila wants to give Miss Melody. She told us she had a whole wall where she taped up the special gifts, including the beautiful American Girl doll that Lila cut out of the magazine for her.

It makes Lila feel so special to know that her teacher really loves these special gifts.

Her self portrait.  Sept 2012 on the left, and May 2013 on the right.

One more of me and my baby girl.  We love her so much!

One Last Picture from the Museum

Me and my babies (who aren't really babies anymore.  i am having lots of fun with these big kids!)

Dinosaur Museum

We went to the museum with Mom, Dad, and B.J. today.  It was super fun. We haven't been since Cameron was 5 months old, so it was like the first time for him.  He ran all over the place (hence the blurry, out of focus, pictures of him)

The sand and water area is always a hit.  I didn't think Cam would be tall enough to play, but he was, and he LOVED it.

My (failed) attempt at a group photo.  Cam would not cooperate and promptly threw himself on the floor.  He didn't want to waste time on pictures.

Pictures with B.J.

I never get good pictures when B.J. comes.  We are too busy having fun.  So, these will have to do.

He leaves tomorrow and my poor kids are going to be so sad.  They love Uncle B.J. so much.  We are lucky that he comes to visit us pretty often.  Sunny begged me the other day to finish our basement so B.J. could move in :)  It was pretty sweet. They have definitely had a great time with him.

Jackson's 10th Birthday

Jack turned 10 on April 5th.  It was kind of a big deal :)  He celebrated with his first "friends" party.

We had 10 little boys here and I was a little bit worried about how it would go.  I shouldn't have been worried at all.  These boys were so fun and sweet.  They played basketball and played on the swing set.

Then they had a massive silly string fight.  They LOVED it!

A cake made out of donuts and a huge candle that wouldn't go out.  Not because it was a trick candle, but because it was just that big of a flame.

Sunny came to the rescue and blew it out.

Jack requested homemade pizza for his birthday dinner and specified that he wanted "homemade crust"  no english muffins or pre-made crust from the store.  More work for me, but I'm glad he appreciates my awesome cooking skills.

The week after his birthday, B.J. got here, and we had a family party.  In honor of Jack's 10th birthday, we made Easter baskets to donate to Primary Children's Medical Center.

Griffin loved organizing all the stuff and putting it in the baskets.

The finished products!

It was a great birthday week for Jack.  April 5, 2003 was one of the most terrifying days of my life.  I had no idea what to do or think, and I could only pray that my little baby boy would survive and one day be healthy.  I wish I would have been able to see a little glimpse into 2013 and see him celebrating his 10th birthday with all of his friends and family.  What a difference a decade makes! We are truly blessed to have Jack in our family. We love you Jack!

Visit From the Carter's

The Carter's came up from Monroe to visit with B.J. (and us :) and I got 2 pictures...yep...that's it.  But, we had a great time and their 4 kids and our 5 kids got along so well.  Lila and Brooke were instant best friends.  Lila keeps telling people, "she is my friend. she is 5 like me."

Thanks for coming Carter's!
