1st Day of School 2014

Sorry in advance for the picture overload :)

Sunny and Mr. Wood

Jackson wouldn't let me take any pictures at school, so they ones I have are just random shots I took from far away when I thought he wasn't looking.

He did agree to pictures at the house.  I love this one of my 6th, 5th, and 1st graders.

Because I know you wanted to see what the back of her hair looks like :)

Jack's class line.  He is with his best friends Chance and Mac.

These two!

We have taken this same picture every year since Kindergarten.  We love living next to this sweet girl and it has been fun to watch them grow up together.

Seems like just yesterday I was dropping him off for his first day of elementary school and now we are already to his last year.  Lila was a brand new baby then and now they are all at school together.  Jack is such a good kid.  Smart, kind, and really funny.  I hope this year goes by slow, because I am not ready to send him off on the bus to middle school next year.

Griffin and Cameron were so sweet.  They kept wanting to wave and hug the kids!

My sweet Lila.  She had a cute dress on for her first day of school that she had been looking forward to wearing, but she had a little wardrobe malfunction when Cameron ran into her with blue toothpaste.  That stuff would not wipe off, so we did a quick change.

She is so fun.  Always so excited for new things and new people.  She is my only child who has never cried about going to school or preschool.  Today was no exception.  She was first in her class line and I was amazed at all the kids who kept coming over to say hi to her.  She is quite popular it seems, but that is not surprising.  She is such a sweet and happy girl.  I will miss her a lot now that she will be at school all day.

Lila and her friend Tylee from down the street.

Jackson doing whatever it is that 6th graders do before school.  He is loving finally being in 6th grade and being the oldest kids in the school.

These two needed one last hug from big brother which he kindly gave them, even with all his friends watching.  They might have snuck a hug from Chance too.  What sweet kid we have in our neighborhood!

And these two!

Sunny and her best friend Rakel.  These two are like peas in a pod.  I can't imagine one without the other.  They are so excited to be in the same class for the 4th year in a row.  From what I could see of their class, it looked like there were only 4 girls on A track.

When did sweet Sunny get this big?!?!  She is just ridiculous.  Ridiculously sweet, smart, talented, and kind.  I love every thing about her and I know she will really love school this year.

Back To School Night

Back to school night was a little weird this year.  Since Jack and Sunny are in 5th and 6th, they don't really require much.  They don't care to look around the classroom and they aren't nervous.  They just go in, say hi to the new teacher, and grab their paperwork.  I feel very unnecessary in the whole process.

Luckily I have my cute little 1st grader who still wants and needs me there.  She got to pick out her cubby and her her desk and meet her sweet teacher.

We are so excited for this school year.

Last Pool Day

Today was our last pool day before school starts and it was awesome.  We spent 5 hours enjoying the beautiful weather and the warm water.

In fact, it was so fun, that somewhere along the way Griffin ripped his pants in 3 different places.  We are guessing it happened on a slide, but we really have no idea.  It was pretty funny.

Cameron has become quite the swimmer this year.  He is pretty proficient as long as he has a puddle jumper on.  Today he swam just about 50 yards across the middle of the pool by himself.  He was motivated, because Griffin was swimming after him pretty quickly and it turned into a race.

Random Cameron

I found this gem on my camera.  I think it was taken by Griffin.  I love it.  Totally captures Cameron's personality.  We sure do love this crazy little guy!

More Braids

Cameron loves to have his hair braided.  He also likes pony tails now, which is a huge change from a few weeks ago.  I think he learned that if I do his hair it will be out of his face.  He is super good at holding still and we have been trying lots of new hairstyles.

Hopefully soon it will be long enough that it will part and stay out of his face instead of hanging right in his eyes.
