These will be all out of order and there are a million of them, but I want to get them posted. So here we go.
Sunny was in Shrek Jr back at the end of March. It was a huge production and they did the show 5 times. It was amazing. We ordered a dvd and I can't wait until it gets here.
On the final night of the show, just Lila and I went and we tried to get as many pictures as possible with all the characters she liked.
Ellie was Mama Ogre and the Wicked Witch. I was in charge (along with one other lady) of all the people who needed to be green. So, Mama and Papa Ogre, little shrek, and big Shrek. We had to completely paint them green. Face, neck, inside the ears, eyes, hands, arms. It was crazy. Then we had to put stage makeup on top of the green, glue on fake noses, and glue on ears for shrek. It was a lot of work and took about 2 hours before each performance. My hands were stained green for a week afterwards.
With her cast gift. A balloon with a shek headband.
Back stage
With Carter who was little shrek and grumpy the dwarf. Painting a 1st grader green was pretty fun, he was not thrilled. His least favorite thing though was eye liner, but we got pretty good at it over the week. After we spent all that time on his makeup, we had to turn around and wash it off and turn him into grumpy after the first scene.
With her friend Ashli at the cast party
Backstage
With Jack's best friend Chance who lives across the street. Isn't he an awesome looking big bad wolf???
With Brooklyn, who was a fabulous Fiona and just a really sweet girl. I just loved working with her and she was so kind to Lila.
More cast party pics. You can really see how tiny Sunny is in this picture. She is taller than she used to be, but she is still pretty shrimpy :)
Sunny is third from the right in the red hat. Right next to the kid with the white wig.
More from the cast dance party
Sunny is in the bottom left corner.
Lila with Ellie and a photo bomb from Chance. I just loved Ellie. We had a blast doing her makeup everyday. She was a super cool kid.
Sunny is on the right hand side with the red cape.
For the first performance we used this flexible head mask thing on shrek. It kept peeling off though so we ended up shaving this kid's head and just painting it green. It looked much better I thought.
This was a fabulous experience for Sunny. When we got in the car after the final show she instantly started crying because she said she loved it so much and she didn't want it to be over. She was really amazing. She looked great on stage, was clearly one of the best dancers, and just really was great. We are so proud of her.
