Griffin's Modeling Career

I have slowly been replacing some of our old pink diapers as I find good deals and sales. Today we got a package that we've been waiting for for a couple weeks. I got two diapers, a brown and a white, a free pair of baby legs, and a free newborn size diaper. I went to put the brown diaper on G and he refused. He wanted the white one, and he wanted pictures of it.

I'm glad he likes the white. Truth be told, he loves the pinks... especially the hot pink one we have, he chooses it first every time. But, I hope to introduce him to some colors that are a little more manly.

I know most of these are blurry, but for those of you that know Griffin, you know he never stays still. He kept wanting more pictures taken and to see them right away. So, for his inner model, this post is all about him :)

Outside Time

Isn't she a beautiful little girl? She is growing up so fast. I wish I could freeze her in time.

We were outside all morning and had to hurry up and close up shop when it started hailing. Really, hail in July?

My zucchini and tomatoes look like they are on steroids. My poor little strawberries are getting buried by leaves and my green pepper is completely covered in tomato vines. I can't wait to start harvesting.

Griffin is such a hilarious little guy. He reminds me so much of his Bear. Give them a yard and a hose (and perhaps a lawn mower) and they are happy. Griffin could play outside with just the hose for hours.

Also, don't you love his squinted eyes? That's his "smile!"

The big 3 were playing tennis. Well, Jack was at least. Looks like the girls were just posing with their rackets.

Again with the hose. He really wanted me to take a picture of him biting it. He is weird, what can I say?

The biggest news of all, as you can probably see, is that our fence is almost finished. The guys finally got out here last week and got most of it up. Unfortunately, they have been a no show so far this week, so while we have a partial fence, there is no gate and it is open on both sides by the front of the house. They also have to finish up some detail work on the posts and a few more boards that go along the outside. Even not finished, I am enjoying it so much, and so are the kids.

28 Weeks

The top one is with Cameron, the bottom one is Griffin. Mark this down in the record books...my belly is measuring a week ahead! That has never happened before. With Griffin I was measuring about 4 weeks behind. So, I think it is a pretty big difference, but I still feel and look pretty small.

And...Cameron was adorable as usual. He is looking perfect and is a tiny little guy at 2 lbs 11 ozs. That is actually the 54th %, so he is measuring perfectly, but it is a little small for my kids. Usually my belly is a month behind and the babies are a few weeks ahead (Lila and G were both around 3 - 3 1/2 pounds at 28 weeks). That has made for some uncomfortable times for me.

This time, I told Ryan before the ultrasound that I was feeling like Cam is small. I'm not hurting at all (except where his head is jammed up in my left ribs). Turns out I was right. Me measuring a little big and him being normal sized feels so much better. I feel like I have room for him, and I can breathe and I really enjoy not being in constant pain from fitting big babies into my little belly.

I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes 2 weeks ago and have already met with the nurses and dietitians a few times. I have some experience with it, as I had it with Sunny, and I remember it being horrible. That has not been the case this time. I've been able to control my numbers very well and am doing fine with it.

My blood pressure is still high, and I imagine it will continue creeping upwards the further along I get. It's not too terrible yet, but it does make me not feel well. I can't explain it specifically, but I felt the same when I was pregnant with Jackson and Lila (the other two I had high blood pressure with). It is just a general yucky/sick/headache feeling all the time. The only things that help are resting and walking (as ironic as that sounds). Problem being, I don't get much rest with my 4 munchkins running around, and I'm not really able to exercise much because I've been having lots of contractions.

But, I'm almost there, and if I can just tough it out for 9-10 more weeks, little Cam will be here. He is definitely worth all the discomforts and bad health.

Lately

Our garden has been growing like crazy. We've eaten most of the spinach (that's why it is looking yucky) and the tomatoes, onions, and zucchini are huge.

We've played lots of chalk on the back patio.

Our fence is slowly but surely being built. Sadly, it has been this way since last Thursday which is a bummer because it was supposed to be finished today. Hopefully within the next week they will get it finished up.

The kids have spent hours playing with "wonder dough." That's what it's called when you get it at the Dollar Store apparently.

Griffin continues to be a mischievous little guy. This incident involved raiding the pantry for a box of taco shells and eating them on my front room couch. What a stinker :)

I think the only pictures I'm missing are of the kids swimming and sliding down Kathy's big slide. That has been super fun and they all love it. I'll grab some pictures next time.

Baseball 2011

Tonight is the last baseball game of the season, and it is official...I have not taken any pictures. Thanks to my friend Kim for sending me these.

Ryan coached again this year with his friend Keith and they have had a pretty good year. Jackson has decided that he really likes playing shortstop the best and he is a pretty good little fielder. He also took a shot a pitching and he liked it too. He decided that he need to work on that more though before he did it again.

I posted 3 different pictures, but for some reason it looks like blogger left one out and posted this one twice. Oh well, you get the idea.

We have had great weather and really enjoyed Jack's games. I think Griffin liked it the most, but he has had a hard time because he wants to play too. He runs to Ryan or to the field every chance he gets and says, "Play BayBall!" After the games he would always run to the huddle and stand with the boys. He was also able to sneak some after games snacks that way.

Pictures of Cameron

These are from my ultrasound 2 weeks ago. I have 28 pictures from that day, and I thought about posting them all. They are all super cute and adorable of course. But, then I decided maybe more is less in this case, and so I chose my favorite three.

The first is his little face in 3D.

The second is also his face, but he has an arm and fist blocking it. Griffin loves this one. He says Cam is playing peek-a-boo.

This one is just funny. In case you can't tell. On the far left is his little belly and then his legs extend to the right. This is when we were trying to check if he really was a boy. As you can see, he has a little hand down there grabbing his "boy parts". I have several pictures of this because he just would not let go.

Eventually he did move his hand and we got the money shot to prove he is all boy!

20 Weeks

Actually, almost 21 weeks, but who's counting :) The top picture is 20 weeks with Griffin. The two green are today with Cameron.

I looked back at my blog and Cameron is only 1 oz bigger than Griffin was at this stage. Wonder why the belly is so much bigger this time? Oh well. It's still pretty small, but I'll take it.

I had my ultrasound this morning and it was fabulous. Cameron looked absolutely perfect. The ultrasound tech at my office is so much fun. I guess she didn't have an appointment right after me, so we spent tons of time just looking at Cam and playing around with him. She sent me home with a DVD and 28 pictures.

He is weighing in at 1 pound already! We got to see him smiling and sticking out his tongue at us. The funniest part was when she tried to check and make sure he was still a boy. He was holding his boy parts and wouldn't let them go. We shook him, poked him, moved him around, and he wouldn't let go. The pictures from that part are so funny. When I get my scanner hooked back up, I'll post them.

We also got a couple of really good 3D ones of his face. He is absolutely adorable.

After the ultrasound I had my appointment with my doctor. That didn't go quite as well. My blood pressure is high...ALREADY. The first time they checked it was 149/99, and the second time it was 135/88. Dr. Watabe was a little concerned and wanted me to come back in 2 weeks instead of 4. Luckily I talked him into letting me go 4 weeks, and I promised to call if I was getting headaches, or feeling like it was high. I was so hoping I would be lucky and escape this stupid blood pressure stuff. Griffin was the only pregnancy that I haven't had a problem with it, and it was so much nicer not having to worry about it and not having to be sent over to the hospital for monitoring all the time.

But, high blood pressure aside, things look wonderful, and I couldn't be happier.
