And he is very much in love with his feet :)

Sweet LC
On Sunday, Lila picked this dress out of the closet to wear. I wasn't sure it would fit her, because I remembered that I bought it for Sunny for her 5th birthday, and Lila is only almost 4.
Well, I forgot what a big girl my Catey is. It fit her perfectly, exactly like it fit Sunny at age 5. She was so proud and excited that it fit and that it is now hers (Sunny can still wear it, but she doesn't mind letting Lila claim ownership)

4 Months
My little guy turned four months old on January 3rd. He is still such a sweet baby. He loves, loves, loves, his schedule, which is a blessing and a curse.
He laughs all the time and loves to talk. He likes to scoot around on the floor, but usually he just flips onto his back and gets stuck. I think he'll be glad when he figures out how to roll the other way.
I noticed about a month ago that he could sit, he needs to work on his balance though, because he falls after 20 seconds or so. He also refuses to sit and lean on his hands. He has to be straight up. Someone might need to tell him he is only 4 months old...not 6.
My kids seem to want to do everything early. I liked it with the first few, but now I'm so over it. I just want them to be little for longer. None of this sitting, eating, and crawling business. I had a friend who used to knock her baby down when he tried to start walking. It was her fourth and she wanted him to stay little. I totally get that :) If Cam starts walking at 9 months like Lila, I think I might cry.
I am just enjoying my 5th little babe so much. I love everything about him. He is a perfect fit in our family and I can't even remember what life was like before he was here. I am so thankful for him in my life.
His current stats:
14 lbs 7 oz -- 34th%
25 1/4 inches -- 56th%
16.5 inch head -- 35th%
And for comparison:
Jackson -- I don't know...that was before blogging, but I do have it in a baby book somewhere
I would guess around 14 lbs.
Sunny
25 1/2 inches
40.5 cm head
13 lbs 1 oz
Lila
24 1/2 inches
15.5 inch head
11 lbs 13 oz
Griffin
25 3/4 inches
16 inch head
15 lbs 3 oz

Matching Brothers
You all know I love to take pictures of my kids wearing the same outfits. Weird, I know. The top four pictures are Cameron at 4 months old. The bottom two are Griffin.
Cameron was tired and not so smiley when I took these, but he didn't seem to mind me playing photographer too much.
And of course Griffin. If you couldn't tell by the fact that he has darker coloring than Cameron, you could surely tell by the fact that he is crying.
I'd say the boys look to be about the same size. Cam has his check up tomorrow and I'm interested to see how big he is. He looks kind of scrawny, but he is really pretty solid. Long and lean. What else would you expect from me and Ryan.

Success
After 3 days of locking him in his room, I have succeeded. I win! That's right, I beat the two year old folks!
What I really want to do right now is jump up and down while I scream, "I win, I win, you lose, you lose!" But since I'm an adult, I'll refrain.
Instead, I'll enjoy my first bit of peace and quiet since the whole "new bed" thing went down. Isn't he sweet when he is asleep!

Locked In
I am about ready to pull my hair out right now...well, that or roll around on the floor laughing hysterically. Remember how Griff is in the big boy bed now...yeah, it's going well ;) When we put G to bed at night, he does great. He goes right to sleep, stays put all night and is generally great about sleeping in his bed.
Naps are a completely different story. This kid needs a nap...really needs a nap. I really need a break from said kid. Kid refuses to nap in bed. Something has got to give.
Just in the past week, these are some of the things he has done while he was supposed to be napping.
1. Poop his underwear. Multiple times. Finally I wised up and put a diaper on for nap time. He poops that too.
2. Strip all the sheets and blankets off of his bed and hid them under the bed.
3. Emptied all the dressers drawers and left the drawers and clothes scattered all over the floor. Multiple times.
4. Found 2 of Jackson's chapter books (after I thought I had emptied the room of everything) and ripped them to shreds. Literally, one inch pieces of ripped up papers everywhere.
5. Broke the closet door off the track. The whole door was just leaning in on the closet. He's lucky it didn't fall the other way.
6. And of course, escaped a bazillions times. You know that Supernanny thing you do, where you put them back in over and over without talking or looking at them? Yeah, that doesn't work.
I decided, against my better judgement, that the answer to the problem was a baby gate. I know, I know. We all know that a gate would never work. I think I got desperate. Ryan brought the gate home last night and I tried it for the first time today. It took him 7 minutes to get out. That includes ransacking the closet, finding an old pair of sandals and putting them on, grabbing his cat, and hopping the gate.
Failure!
Then I had a brilliant idea. I decided to turn the door knob around and lock him in. So, I did that. But, he is such a stinker, he knows how to find random stuff to stick in the door and unlock it. So, I stripped down the room (for the second time people) so he couldn't find anything to use. I also put a child proof door knob cover over the knob. You can still stick stuff in and unlock it, but it would be much harder. That was the only reason for the cover, because as you remember, he learned how to open those things long ago.
Where do we stand now...he's been in his room for close to an hour. He is still awake. I can hear him dumping dresser doors, playing with the door stop, yelling, banging, and generally being annoying. He is getting mad, but he hasn't gotten out yet.
My hope is that as soon as he realizes he can't get out, he will just give up and go to sleep. I won't be surprised though if I hear him coming down the stairs in a few minutes. That kid is brilliant and I have a feeling he won't stop until he figures out how to get that door open.
Anyone care to place a bet?
Edited to Add: I feel like I should say, this is a kid who LOVES napping. He slept 2-3 hours every day in the crib until he learned to climb out. He has never fought nap time before. Really, like not once in his whole life.
