Raingutter Regatta

In May, Jackson's cub scout troop held their annual Raingutter Regatta.  This was his second year and he knew just how he wanted his boat to be.  He did it himself and did a great job.

His boat was called, "The Jimmer" and had a BYU flag. I can't really remember, but  I think he lost 2 races  and won 2, so he was happy.  Overall, he just loved being with all the boys and they had a great time cheering for each other.

Lila Lately

Lila is growing up before my eyes and becoming a big girl.  These are from when I learned to curl her hair with a flat iron.  We were both really excited, because I am not known for being able to do hair.  I am however improving with lots of practice and patience from my Lila girl.

These two spend lots of time together wandering around and finding things to do in the backyard.  Yes, this kind of outfit is totally normal for her.  She loves boots and bathing suits!

Playing in the sprinkler with brother.

She is going down Kathy's big slide like a champ this year.  This girl has no fear.

Apparently she spends a lot of time in a bathing suit.  We do a lot of swimming in the little pool and playing in the sprinklers, and she can't get enough.

Last month Ryan was doing some work on the computer on a Sunday afternoon and he had his little princess snuggled up next to him.  Don't know why it posted twice, but isn't it precious.

9 Month Old Cameron

Playing in the water with Savana

First time down the big water slide.  He didn't hate it, but he didn't love it either.

Playing in the baby pool.  He actually did like it, but the big kids kept spraying him in the face with water guns and that made him upset.

These are from last Sunday.  He looked so cute, but he would not cooperate for pictures.

A rare picture of unhappy Cameron.

Let me see how well I can sum up this last month or so, and see if I can remember all of the new things he has done.

He loves to eat.  He has been eating table food for about 2 months now, and a lot of it... typically exactly what the big kids eat.  He loves to feed himself and does a pretty good job.  Some of his favorite foods are:  boiled eggs, turkey, string cheese, any kind of fruit, carrots, greek yogurt, and chicken and rice.

He learned to crawl at 7ish months and now at 9 months is crawling like maniac all around the house including upstairs.  He also cruises all over, usually only holding on to the couch or wall with one hand.  He took his first steps a few weeks before he turned 9 months, but right now isn't into walking by himself.  If I try to stand him up and make him, he just sits down and crawls away from me.

He love toys.  Especially ones that don't belong to him.  He is lucky that the big kids don't mind sharing.

He also said his first word a week or so ago.  I was hoping it was going to be "Mama," but no such luck.  "Dada" it is!  He also says "baba" for bottle and says "Hey" occasionally.  If you are lucky, he will wave good bye to you, but not always.

He is such a sweet and smart little guy.  I love having him around so much.  I am amazed at how fast his first year is flying by and I am trying hard to take it all in and enjoy every minute with my precious little guy.

Cameron at 7 and 8 Months Old

I am so behind on my blog it is ridiculous.  I can't even begin to imagine how I will ever catch up, but here is my sorry attempt.  I just downloaded all the pictures from the past 2 months that were on my phone onto my computer.

So, here is a sampling of Cameron when he was 7 and 8 months old.

He learned how to use his walking toy.

He learned how to open the toy cabinet, climb inside, and dump out all the toys.  Looks like fun!

He practiced standing, and he actually took his first steps a few weeks ago.  He usually crawls still, but will zoom around the house holding on to couches, chairs, and walls.

 Playing with his cousin Henry.

He leaned how to sleep without being swaddled.

He grew some adorable little chubby cheeks.

We realized that Cameron and I share a love for powdered donuts.

He loves walking around the kitchen table.

He figured out stairs and he heads for them every chance he gets.

He developed an interest in my camera phone and I do believe he is posing for these two pictures.

Yep, he goes up the whole staircase by himself.  He hasn't fallen yet...knock on wood!

He also spends a lot of time standing at the back door watching the big kids play.

I just noticed two things as I captioned all those pictures.  1.  Cameron is freakishly smiley.  2.  I need to put clothes on the kid more often.  I didn't realize how often he just wears a diaper around the house.

Over The Rainbow

Tonight was Sunny's first ever dance recital. I'll do a better post later, but for now, here are a few pictures I took at the house before we left. She was beautiful, awesome, and amazing!

Tulip Festival

Mom has requested that I update my blog.  Apparently I haven't been doing a very good job.  So, let's start with this little gem.

Back in April, Mom and I took the kids to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point.  It was so much fun, and I took lots of pictures.

Unfortunately, Lila decided to delete them all off of my phone.  This one was saved because I had already posted it on face book.

Say Goodbye

Say goodbye to cow, pinky, brownie, and bluey!

G-man is the only one of my kids who has needed a diaper at night after they were potty trained. He has been potty trained since the end of November, but he still just couldn't go overnight. We were using the biggest, most stretched out, old diapers we had so they would fit him since he is so big. These 4 were actually Lila's originally, but pinky has always been Griffin's favorite.

Last week we figured out that if we take G to the bathroom right before Ryan and I go to bed, then he doesn't need a diaper. He was thrilled because HATES wearing them now that he is such a big 2 year old ;)

This morning I pulled the diapers out to throw them away and I saw G had layed them all out so nicely.  So, farewell friends, he doesn't need you anymore.

p.s. This is my first time blogging from my phone and I am not so good at it. So forgive me if the format is weird or if I spell things wrong.
