First Day of School 2012

First day of school for my two big kids. 4th grade with Mr. Padeken and 3rd grade for Sunny with Mrs. Orr.

Lined up with the bike gang for the trip to school. We have some great neighbors. One takes the kids in the morning and one rides home with them. I can't go very often because I have 4 little ones at home, but I love to ride with them on Ryan's day off and in the morning when he works late.

Here is Sunny with some of our favorite friends/neighbors. These are some great little girls...I just love them all :)

Once we got to school, Jack ran off and found his line and wouldn't let me get a picture. I had just given up when his teacher walked up behind me and said, "Go ahead, do it :)" So, I did...Jack was ticked. I tried to hug him and he backed away and told me he'd see me later. My little Jack is growing up!

Sunny was totally in the mood for posing that morning.

Then, she started to get nervous and the tears began to flow. Her best friend Rakel walked up and Sunny was able to dry up the tears and put a smile back on her face.

Ellie, Sunny, and Rakel. They met last year and 2nd grade and were lucky enough to be in the same class again.

Preschool 2012

Lila Cate started preschool this year with Miss Melody. Miss Melody lives just around the corner from us and is so adorable. I don't think there has ever been a kid as excited as Lila was for her first day of school.

She happily posed for picture after picture. I think she knew she was looking good :)

She is learning how to pose from Sunny. Sometimes they are cute poses, and sometimes they look ridiculous, but we love it.

And, in case you forgot, the second day of preschool is just as important as the first.

How about a throwback? These are Sunny on her first day of preschool in 2008.

Happy Birthday Cameron

This super adorable little guy turned 1 on September 3rd. What a great year it has been. I cannot imagine what we did without little Cam in our family. He is such an easy going and happy little guy. At one year old he is:

Walking ( and has been full time for the last 2 1/2 months or so)

Talking (he has several words including: Mom, Dad, Jack, Lila, hot, car, uh-oh, no, stop, shoe)

Sleeping (Like a champ...seriously. Down to bed by 6:30, and then we don't hear from him again until 6:30 or 7:00...it is great)

Eating (Just like a big kid. We got rid of bottles and formula 6 weeks or so ago and he never looked back. He eats what we eat and just as much as big brother G does)

Playing (He loves to play toys, but his favorite thing to do is play baby Yoshi with Lila and G. Basically, they chase him around the house and pretend he is Yoshi...from Mario of course.)

He is an all around amazing kid.

His current stats are :

Weight: 21 pounds 8 ounces -- 53%

Height: 30 inches -- 57%

Head: 18.5 inches -- 76%

My scrawny little baby has turned into a perfectly average little toddler. I love it! Funny that he is exactly the same size Jackson was at a year old. Also, I would told you G was much bigger, but apparently he hit a scrawny patch at a year and was smaller than Cam! That doesn't seem right, but it must be.

Jackson : 21 1/2 lbs

Sunny: 17 -ish lbs ( I cannot remember and I don't have it on the blog, she was super tiny though)

Lila: 19 lbs 2 oz, 28.5 inches, 17 inch head

Griffin: 20 lbs 14 oz, 30 inches, and 18 inch head.
