Our current cell phone contract is coming to an end. We have been with at&t or cingular or at&t or whatever they have decided they want to be now, since we have been married. The service has been fine so far. Last week I decided to start looking at upgrading our phones, considering ours have been getting a little old now. After doing some research I have found that unless you want a blackberry or smartphone, the choices for a decent phone are pretty sad. The only phone I would even want from them is an iphone, but don't want to fork out $400 right now. Their low quality phones seem like a rip off, and the more expensive flip phones just don't seem nice at all. The selection is also very slim to choose from. I have looked into some of the other carriers but just thought I'd ask if anyone has any good info about other companies or good phones at fair prices. Any help would be appreciated.

Ryan phones get out dated in like a week these days. That phone in your picture was released just this last June. Why don't you suck it up, stop being a wimp and get that iphone. The simple fact that you mentioned it first just goes to show you know its right for you. You just wanted some friendly support - and now you have it. Make it happen...
you should get verizon. have you seen my new phone? it flips open 2 ways, with the keyboard and whatnot. its pretty tight. w/the rebate its like $80. and their family plans are pretty good, its a regular plan and then $10 a month for each additional line. wow i sound like a commercial.. oh dear.

I feel your pain man. Cell phones suck. Gina and I just got new ones and I think it's a pretty decent phone for the money (read "cheap"). We got the Sony-Ericsson W810i and it's a great phone. I've beat it up hard already and it's still working. I don't even know if they have it still, but either way, Sony-Ericsson makes good stuff for the money.
