About 30 mintues after she was born, the nurse noticed that Lila was having a hard time breathing. They took her to the nursery and put her on the CPAP machine to help open her lungs and make it easier for her. After a couple hours they took her off to see if she was better. She had improved a little, but was still struggling a little. They decided to let us have her and just watch her closely through the night. The doctors said it is very common in babies born right around 37 weeks because their little lungs are just barely reaching maturity.
I think she looks a lot like Jackson in these pictures b/c of all the tubes and wires.

I don't know why she looks so big in these pictures. She's not really very chubby in real life.
Trying to breathe on her own after they turned off the machine.
