Kindergarten is. . . Awesome
My Teacher is . . . Mrs. Chapman
My Best Friend is . . . Caleb F.
My Favorite Thing to do at School is . . . play on the playground
I'm Learning . . . The letter "O", but I already know it.
Do I want Mom to walk me home from school . . . NO!!!!!!!!!
The plan is for Jax to walk home from school this year with two boys who live next door. Admittedly, I'm a little (a lot) nervous about this. On the first day I walked him to his classroom door, and then after school I met him there. Ethan and Caden met him too and the three of them walked home with me and Sunny following a little ways behind.
The next day he told me to drop him off around the corner from school and he would just walk by himself. I said yes (only b/c I could see him the entire way, and I waited till he went into his classroom to leave.) He also said he didn't want me to pick him up at all. He was big enough to walk home with his friends, by himself! I agreed and so far so good. It has been two days and I'll have to admit it's nice to not have to get Sunny and the baby in the car, or walk over in the heat to get him. He comes running in the door at 3:45 as happy as can be. We're so lucky to have such good neighbors that are always willing to help us out and try to make things easier for us.

Oh what a sad day when we are not as cool to them and they want to do it all with friends! I can't believe he is that old. I remember visiting you all in Springville and he was so little and watched us leave through the window sitting on the couch.
(Cute blog header!)
That is so sweet. I know it's a little scary at first but you would rather have him independent than clingy. Just wait until he isn't home at 3:45, that is a little worrisome. Then you will find out that he forgot something at school and went back for it, or was talking and playing on the way home, or something like that. Eventually you will be comfortable with that too. I can't believe he started Kindergarten!!!
Time goes by so fast! It's so cute that we wants to be with his buddies (and they must think they are so big!). Your new blog is super cute by the way :)
