Yes!!

Good news, I have a Wii. Yes it's true. For a few weeks now I have been wanting a Wii. I hadn't been pursuing it too hard, but oppurtunity knocked at good old Wal-Mart on Tuesday. I mean these things are selling like hotcakes, and aren't easy to find at your local stores, unless you get lucky of course. I took the kids to Wal-Mart that morning and of course strolled through video game section, just in case. Well somehow they had a few left from the shipment they received the night before. I got the 2nd to last one, yes.!! Really it is for the kids, okay maybe not, but it is pretty fun. Jackson and Sunny are hilarious when they play, but we have to make sure the strap is on. Jackson forgot to attach it once and sure enough the controller about put a hole in the ceiling. If anyone is thinking about getting a Wii, do it. If you can find one of course. In other semi important news, some elementary school kids in utah county have to sleep at school tonight, because the buses couldn't get the kids home in the storm. Can you imagine being a teacher and having to stay at the school for 24 hours watching those kids. They should get some kind of bonus for that.

Who is that special someone?

Valentine's day is quickly approaching. It is a time to reflect on things we love. Who do we turn to everyday for some very important information? You got it right, the weatherman or woman. It is a person that has a special little place in our hearts. It is obvious that many of the local weathermen have great skills, but who really stands out in your mind or heart. For Sarah it is probably 2 news Roland Steadham. I think she enjoys his excellent insight and that great hair. I enjoy many different weathermen. It can be KSL, Fox 13, or even 4 news. As long of the weather is being reported with dignity and class, I can't complain. So who is your number 1 weatherman? Just keep them in your hearts on this V day.

Look what I'm getting for my b-day...

So, my birthday is in a little over two weeks, and today I got to order my b-day present from my Mom. I'm so excited for it to get here. I know most people would say I should get something for myself, but I'm so in love with baby stuff that I just couldn't help it.

This being my 3rd child, you would think I'd have one of these by now, but I don't. I figured with all the stairs in our house it would be pretty useful. I plan on keeping it downstairs so I have somewhere for Lila to nap, and also a safe place to put her while I'm doing stuff. My kids are so excited and want to help so much with her, but they are really too young to pick her up, so this is an attempt to keep her from being carried around by a 3 year old.

I love the pink and brown. All our other stuff is gender-neutral, and I really wanted one thing that was girly. I think this fits the bill :)

My 2nd Trip to L & D

For those interested, I made my 2nd trip to Labor and Delivery. I dropped the kids off with a friend at 12:00 to run over to the Doctor for what I thought was going to be a quick appointment. Turns out my blood pressure was too high again, so I earned a 2nd trip to the hospital. This time I had to stay a lot longer b/c it took my blood pressure awhile to go down and of course the nurses noticed I was having contractions. I ended up getting home about 3:15 this afternoon.

All my lab work looks good, so it's more wait and see as to what will happen and when this baby will actually arrive. Lila looked great on the montiors and was super active the whole time, so that is very reassuring.

As for now, I just go back in two weeks and hopefully my blood pressure will be good b/c I do not want to waste another day at the hospital. I started going to the doctor every 2 weeks at 24 weeks with this pregnancy and man am I sick of it already.

I will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad when March gets here!!

Just Because I'm Being Bugged for Something New -- Valentines Day 2005

So, obviously these aren't new, but I don't have anything new, so this will have to do. These are some of the older pictures I have on the computer. It was Sunny's first Valentines Day. This also happened to be a couple of weeks before Jax had surgery on his eyes to fix the huge chalazions (sp?) that had formed under his eyelids.
Remember when Sunny had brown curly hair? I think it turned straight and blonde about 3 months after this. She had pretty good hair for a baby. She is about 5 1/2 months old here.

It's Official!!

As of December 13, 2007, Ryan is an official graduate with a degree in Behavioral Science w/a psychology emphasis!

We just got the diploma in the mail today. I am so excited and so proud of Ryan. He started going to school when Sunny turned one in August of 2005. He has gone year-round since then and it has really been a struggle for our family. We are so thankful for all the help that has been given to us throughout the past 2 1/2 years. I can't believe it's finally here!!

This drives me NUTS!!!

I cannot stand when people send their sick kids to preschool, nursery, primary, family dinners, my house, etc. I'm sure you get the point. What is wrong with people. How about when your kid is sick you stay home and don't go spreading their germs to everyone you know. This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, but I just wish people would think before taking their kids out sick.

Here's the thing.... To most kids a cold is no big deal. They might have a cough or a runny nose for a few days and then they get over it. That's how it is if Sunny gets sick. Jackson is a different story. I don't think people realize that not every kids can just "get over it". Poor little Jackson has asthma. When he gets a cold it is a huge deal for us. Since Septmeber I think we have been to the doctors office probably 15 times. I try to give him a couple weeks to get over a cold, but it never fails that I have to take him in for steroid shots and a course of antibiotics. In the meantime he is missing preschool, not sleeping, coughing up a lung, and feeling misearable in general.

Our latest round of sickness started the last week of November. He came down with a cold. The next week was when the whole "toothpick incident" happened and we went to the doctor 4 times in a week and a half. After that was over his cold was getting worse and worse and he couldn't breathe well. I waited till after Christmas to take him to the doctor. He needed steriod shots (again) and antibiotics. Unfortunately, the meds didn't work and he had to take a second round of more powerful antibiotics. He is finally well now, but everywhere I turn there are sick kids hacking on him. Seriously people.

Just so you know, everyday Jax takes his inhaler twice a day, singular once, and has an albuteral inhaler for emergencies (which only happen when he has a stupid cold). Since November he's had all that plus the steriod shots and 20 days of antibiotics. All for a cold. This is so crazy to me and frustrating to deal with I wish people could understand what they were doing to Jax when they send their sick kids around him. I also wish they understood what it does to me. I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant on bedrest for Heaven's sake. Do you really think I want to pack up both my kids, drive through the snow, and sit at the Doctors office full of more sick kids? Plus, it gets so dang expensive. If you don't want to pay my medical bills quit getting my kid sick.

I know this is getting long, but I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoyed at people right now. I really don't want to be a bitch to people and tell them to get their kid away from me and out of my house when they're sick, but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to be for the sake of my kid. So, please, don't send your kids out sick. It really is dangerous to some kids and a huge deal. Teach your kids to wash their hands, and how to cough in their arm instead of all over my kids toys. PLEASE!!
