Easter 2008

Not the best picture, but we'll take what we can get. We were going to be late for church if we kept trying.

Sunny was so excited to see her Easter presents at Mimi's. She grabbed everything up at once.

Matching dresses for the egg hunt.

Posing with her eggs.

Too busy to stop for a picture.

First Bath

Can you tell she hated it?

Feeling better. Nice and Clean and Dry.

Sweet Liley

This morning, right when Jackson woke up he came into our room to find Lila. I had put Lila in our bed and he cuddled up next to her. He is such a good big brother. His nickname for her is "Sweet Liley." He always calls her that and is so sweet with her. She really likes him and always calms down when he holds her or talks to her. He says he is her favorite, and I think he's right.
She is so comfy in her little cocoon. This was in the morning after she slept almost six hours straight the night before. It was WONDERFUL!!

Happy St. Patricks Day, and some other stuff

Happy St. Patricks Day,
Love,
Lila Cate
This afternoon we got the call that Lila's billirubin levels were too high and she needed to go under the lights. They were delivered to our house and Lila has to be under them 24 hours a day. She can only come out to eat and have her diaper changed. We expect her to have to stay under them for at least 2 or 3 days.

It looks pretty uncomfortable, but she actually really likes the little bed!

Lila is Home!!

In the Hospital

With Daddy

We can't figure out who she looks like. She doesn't look like Jackson or Sunny.

I love the green flower bow the nursers put in her hair. Ryan said they had a good time fixing her hair in nursery. She had a pretty good mohawk going for awhile.

Getting ready to come home. They pulled out her IV just before we left and she was mad!!

Lila's Time in The Nursery

About 30 mintues after she was born, the nurse noticed that Lila was having a hard time breathing. They took her to the nursery and put her on the CPAP machine to help open her lungs and make it easier for her. After a couple hours they took her off to see if she was better. She had improved a little, but was still struggling a little. They decided to let us have her and just watch her closely through the night. The doctors said it is very common in babies born right around 37 weeks because their little lungs are just barely reaching maturity. I think she looks a lot like Jackson in these pictures b/c of all the tubes and wires.

I don't know why she looks so big in these pictures. She's not really very chubby in real life.

Trying to breathe on her own after they turned off the machine.
